Use Vinyl to Make a Wood Burned Ornament
Wood burning markers are very popular right now. Did you know you can use adhesive vinyl as a stencil to create intricate and custom designs for your wood burning markers?
In this example, we used 651 permanent vinyl as our stencil on a wood slice, but you can try it with different types to see what works best for you.
Here's how you use vinyl as a stencil:
Design, cut and weed a stencil of your choice. This can be as simple or detailed as you wish. Apply vinyl to your wood surface using a squeegee to make sure you have a good bond.
Fill in your design with wood burning markers and remove the vinyl stencil.
Apply heat to the wood burning marker left on the wood surface.
You now have a complete ornament with a wood burned design.
You can try this on all types of wood surfaces, have fun creating!
